# Herramientas

Una colección de herramientas le permiten trabajar con los datos de las capas cartográficas.

Las herramientas de la extensión [Edition](https://docs-jmapserver-lima.k2geospatial.com/s/extensiones/edition) le permiten editar datos de capas, es decir, agregar elementos, modificar su geometría, ubicación o atributos o eliminarlos.

Para poder editar una capa, debe tener permisos de edición otorgados por su administrador de JMap Server.
